Black Seed Oil COA & Thymoquinone Testing

We provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with every batch. Our commitment is to consistent quality, transparent documentation, and reliable supply from trusted sources.

What Our COA Covers

Each production batch is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis documenting key quality parameters:

  • Thymoquinone (TQ) content — verified at 1.2-2.4% for standard oil, up to 3% for High TQ
  • Fatty acid profile — oleic, linoleic, palmitic, stearic acid percentages
  • Batch identification — production date, batch number, and expiration date
  • Physical properties — color, odor, specific gravity, and refractive index

Typical Fatty Acid Profile

Each batch of our cold-pressed black seed oil is analyzed by GC-MS for fatty acid composition. Typical ranges across recent production batches:

Linoleic acid (omega-6)50–60%
Oleic acid (omega-9)20–25%
Palmitic acid10–13%
Stearic acid2–4%
Total unsaturated fatty acids80–85%

Exact values vary naturally by harvest and batch; each batch's analysis report states its specific composition and is available on request.

Certificate of Analysis (COA)

We provide a Certificate of Analysis for every batch. The COA includes batch number, production date, and verified parameters. COA documents are available:

  • - Upon request before placing an order
  • - Included with every wholesale shipment
  • - Available for your retail customers to review

Sourcing & Extraction

Origin

Nigella Sativa seeds sourced from the Mediterranean region, primarily Turkey. We work with established farming partners who maintain consistent seed quality across harvests.

Extraction

Cold-pressed extraction method preserves the full spectrum of bioactive compounds including thymoquinone, thymol, and essential fatty acids. No chemical solvents used.

Storage

Stored in our climate-controlled Georgia, USA warehouse. Dark glass bottles protect against UV degradation. 24-month shelf life from production date. See our bulk storage best practices guide for drum and tote handling.

Packaging

Available in dark glass bottles (retail sizes), food-grade HDPE jugs (gallon), and food-grade drums (bulk). Private label packaging available for 100+ unit orders.

COA, SDS & TDS — what each document covers

We provide three batch-level documents on request so wholesale buyers, brand owners, and compliance teams can verify the oil before it enters production or retail.

COA
Certificate of Analysis

Batch-specific analytical results — thymoquinone content, fatty acid profile, batch number, production and best-before dates. Issued per production lot.

SDS
Safety Data Sheet (formerly MSDS)

Handling, storage, and transport information for the oil. Used by warehouses, freight partners, and EHS teams to confirm safe-handling parameters.

TDS
Technical Data Sheet

Product specifications and typical physical and chemical parameters — appearance, odor, density, refractive index, and packaging detail. Used by formulators and QA teams.
